Characterization of the State of Bangladesh

The Ganges River flows through the Bay of Bengal. Its Connects water with many river systems many rivers cross roads and inland rivers including Brahmaputra, Ganges and Maghna. 80% of the soil is very fertile.

Bangladesh has a tropical climate with rainy season, high temperature and humidity. There are three different seasons in Bangladesh: hot and humid summers from March to June; Cold, rainy season from June to October; and cold and dry winters from October to March. Generally, summer temperatures range from 30c to 40c. April is the hottest month in many parts of the world. January 10 is the coldest month with an average temperature of 10c Fahrenheit [10c].

Heavy rain is characteristic of Bangladesh. With the exception of the arid western part of the empire, most parts of the country receive at least 2000 mm of rainfall per year, with an annual rainfall of 1600 mm. Some parts of northeastern Bangladesh receive moderate rainfall of up to 4,000 mm per year due to strong winds in the southern, western and northwestern parts of the Himalayas. About 80% of the population in Bangladesh receives rain during the monsoon season.

The climate of Bangladesh can be divided into different types of climates. Central and southern regions can be classified as warmer, humid than AW, 18c per month and dry winters. The northern mountains can be considered a CWA climate; Cool, humid climate with dry winters above 22c.

Bangladesh is prone to frequent floods and hurricanes - an average of 16 hurricanes every ten years. In 1998, floods exceptionally melted the Himalayan glaciers, covering two-thirds of Bangladesh by flash floods, and in 2017, hundreds of villages were submerged, leaving tens of thousands of people homeless by two months of flooding.
